Spices increase appetite and improve digestion, and garlic helps fight high blood pressure. To add a dish of carbohydrates, we serve a pita bread for him. Hummus is a hearty and healthy dish, ideally suited for a vegetarian diet.

COOKING TIME: 3 hours 20 minutes.

Chickpeas (boiled) 200 g
Spices (tahin paste) 25g
Spices (cumin (crushed or powdered in powder)) 3 g
Garlic (without core) 3 g
Lemon (lemon juice) 8 g
Oil (olive) 30 g

Step by step recipe.

Soak chickpeas in the water for the night. Boil it in salted water (to taste, you can also add carrots or onions) for three hours, until the chickpeas become soft.

For cooking hummus at home, you can use canned chickpeas in a jar - the taste will be almost the same, but it will save you time.

Boil the chickpeas in a blender with garlic, lemon juice, cumin, tahini paste and a little water in which chickpeas were brewed, add the olive oil.

If the paste is very thick, you can add a little more water. It is better to have a thick base and add water later. For 200 grams of boiled chickpeas, add about 150 grams of water.
