I want to share the recipe for making tasty and healthy natural dandelion jam.

In the midst of spring, a yellow carpet of beautiful, fluffy dandelions covers our land. These ever-growing flowers are extremely useful.

Thanks to one famous writer, everyone knows about dandelion wine, but dandelion jam is unjustly forgotten.

Many undeservedly consider dandelions to be weeds, although their mineral composition is very rich.

These beautiful golden flowers contain phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron, zinc and manganese, and they also contain a small amount of iodine, selenium, copper and other trace elements.

They contain quite a lot of B vitamins, ascorbic acid and beta-carotene.

Ingredients:

Dandelions - 400 flowers
Water - 1 L
Sugar 1.2 kg.
Citric acid - 1 tsp. (no slide)

Cooking Jam:

1. Cut 400 heads of dandelion flowers, cut only yellow petals, as sepals and receptacles will give jam the bitterness of milky juice. We send the yellow petals to an enameled or stainless pan, do not rinse, because you will wash away all the nectar and pollen, and the jam will not have healing properties.

2. Fill the petals with water, bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes. Add citric acid to a boiling broth and boil over low heat for another 25 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and filter the broth, discard the used petals.

3. Add sugar to the broth, stir and put on the fire again. Bring to a boil and simmer for 40-50 minutes. The longer you cook, the thicker the jam will be.

4. Pour jam into glass jars and roll up. It is perfectly stored under plastic covers in the cellar or refrigerator.
Doctors recommend eating no more than 3 tablespoons of goodies daily. It is better to add this aromatic medicine to tea. Bon Appetit!
